Edmond storm shelter permit and registration

The City of Edmond says all new shelter installations require a permit from the Building Department. Edmond's permit fee schedule lists Safe Room/Storm Shelter at $35.00. Plans are submitted through the city's permit submissions process.
Register your shelter
Edmond's free, voluntary Severe Weather Shelter Registration Program lets rescue crews know where your shelter is if debris blocks the exit. Register with the online form on the city's shelter page or call (405) 359-4564.
Before you hire
